My Story

While I've always been a self-professed self-development and health junkie, it is my son, James, the death of my husband, Doug, in 2004, and my own struggle and high accomplishment in the years after that led me on my own "Live My Happy" journey in 2015.

Doug survived brain cancer for 20 months and during those months I had the blessing of an indescribable connection. I learned quickly that growing old is truly a privilege. We must not forget this.

James was one and I was 29. I put my head down, bound and determined to prove to myself and the world that I could sustain on my own and take care of the both of us. And that I did. I went from making $28K and unsure if I should keep my house to a master's degree, a six figure income, and a brand new house within 5 years. I had amazing support and some even more amazing breakdowns along the way.

It also became ingrained in my heart that I am the only thing my son has and my health, my WHOLE health, lies at the center of that longevity.

Promotions continued and I moved into an executive role in 2013; the same year I witnessed that stress is the devil and my amazing health, happy attitude, and positive perspective on life would succumb to stress if I let it.

In 2015, I finally stopped to look up. I had to find a new way. I went back to my roots tapping once again into my own divine inner wisdom. It had never left. I had just forgotten, allowing societal constructs to consume me. Dusting off some sacred tools and learning some new ones, this time I persevered DIFFERENTLY. And here I am...thriving in life's mess, mastering resiliency like the rest of us, and holding space for others' paths to joy and abundance. As we revolutionize how we thrive we make this world a better place AND we all LIVE OUR HAPPY!
